Punishment for improper use of word “Limited” or “Private Limited”

 

Do you know that only company incorporate under company Act, can use the words “Limited” or “Private Limited”.

As per sec 453 of Company Act 2013, any person who carry on business under any name or title of which the word “Limited” or Private Limited” and if it is not duly incorporated under company act as such shall be punishable with a minimum fine of Rs. 500/- and maximum of Rs. 2000/- for every day for which that name or title has been used.
