FIFA wave is everywhere!
FIFA World Cup has introduced another phenomenon called ‘Mexican Wave’ to the world.
Every person who watches cricket match would have heard about ‘Mexican wave’
For the benefit of those who are not aware about it, let me explain – A wave effect is formed when crowds in stadium rise up and down from their seat, raise their arms in successive groups. The successive action of the group of people results in a wave which travels through the crowd. You would have observed in one day cricket match, when the stadium is packed, the crowd resorts to Mexican wave at least once in 30 minutes. This phenomenon among mass audience in a large stadium brings a very cheerful experience.
It was in 1986 that the wave was first brought to world-wide attention at FIFA World Cup in Mexico. As a result, this phenomenon is called as ‘Mexican Wave’
Thought for the day
Never respond to rudeness. When people are rude to you, they reveal who they are; not who you are. Don’t take it personally be silent.
