Post Elections | Some reactions
Those who have voted:
- One of the housemaids was telling that they have made a big mistake by voting for Modi. See what he has done for having voted for him. He has increased the bus charge (BMTC Bus charge)
- Another graduate was telling that this time BJP will come in Karnataka. He was telling that Siddaramaiah has to go. (He has voted, but not aware about assembly or Lok Sabha elections!)
Those who haven’t voted:
- In one of the TV programs, I saw a group of ESIC people (English Speaking Intellectual Class) who were narrating why they have not voted this time.
- Some of the so called celebrities were coming on TV stating that their names were not there in the list this time. (Shame on them; they have all the intelligence to analyze the elections, results, candidates, their birth, marriage, etc. but have no intelligence to check that their name is there in the voters list. Checking online is a simple job)
- One of the journalists who appears on a Kannada TV channel making big noise about the pros and cons of candidates/parties mentioned that the last time he had voted was in 1986!
Speeches and subsequent debate in TV
The topics chosen are snoopgate, honeymoon, butcher, communalism, secularism, marriage, 56” chest, kind heart, child’s pay, toffee, balloon, loan waiver, free healthcare, reservation, etc
This is just a sample. There are many specimens like this in our country.
