 Laws | Act # 12 | THE KARNATAKA TAX ON PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS AND EMPLOYMENTS ACT, 1976

• Every person who exercises any profession or holds any appointment, public or private shall be liable to pay the State Government the tax at the rates specified.
• The persons who have attained 65 years of age are exempt from payment of Profession tax (PT)
• PT deducted from the salaries to be paid to the Government on or before 20^th of the subsequent month
• Annual fees to be paid on or before 30^th April
• File annual return within 60 days of the expiry of the year (means 30^th May)
• PT can be paid Online
