Lok Sabha Elections | You would have heard that the public campaign and meetings should stops 48 hours before the election. Right?

If so, how the parties can conduct rallies today in Karnataka (the election is on 17th April)?

The election commission says “officially, the public campaign ends 48 hours before polling closes”, which means the polling ends at 6 pm on 17th April, 2o14. So, the parties can campaign till 6 pm today.
